The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) on Sunday, 31st May 2026, appointed Technical Director John Keister as Caretaker Head Coach of the national men’s team – Leone Stars, pending the recruitment of a substantive Head Coach.
According to a press release issued by SLFA, John Keister will be assisted by Alhaji Foray and Mohamed Lamin Kamara for the team’s upcoming international friendlies against Liberia during the June FIFA window.
Sierra Leone will host Liberia on Saturday, 6th June 2026, at the Southern Arena in Bo city before travelling to face the Lone Star on Tuesday, 9th June, at the SKD Stadium in Monrovia.
The SLFA Executive Committee expressed confidence in the technical expertise of the trio as Leone Stars prepared for upcoming international assignments while the process to recruit a substantive head coach continues.
