The political strength of Bai Mahmoud Bangura (BMB) has once again been demonstrated following a massive victory in the APC ward re-run elections across Kambia District.
The renowned grassroots politician secured victory in 20 out of the 24 wards contested, cementing his dominance and growing popularity within the district.
The remaining four wards in Constituency 060, Kambia Central, could not conduct elections on Sunday due to violence allegedly caused by some party members, leading to the suspension of the process in those areas.
Political observers and supporters have described BMB’s overwhelming performance as a clear indication that he remains the people’s choice in Kambia District. Many party loyalists believe the results reflect his long-standing connection with grassroots supporters and his commitment to party unity and development.
With this commanding lead, supporters say Bai Mahmoud Bangura has strengthened his chances of emerging as the APC flag bearer at the forthcoming Port Loko conference.
