The Minister of Communications Madam Salima Monorma Bah has on Tuesday 21st April, 2026 announced that Cabinet has approved Africell Sierra Leone as the investment partner for Sierratel’s, government owned Telecommunications Company.
This disclosure was made during The Ministry of Information and Civic Education weekly press conference.
The partnership will operate under an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) model, where Sierratel will deliver services using existing network infrastructure through the partnership.
