The main opposition All People’s Congress (APC) party Members of Parliament and Local Council representatives have resolved to call off their non-participation in governance at both national and local levels following their recent meetings with the International Moral Guarantors and His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, respectively.
During Tuesday’s Truth Morning Devotion on Truth Media, a senior APC stalwart, Hon. Aminata Sesay stated emphatically that the party has resumed its responsibilities in governance.
Her emphatic statement confirmed APC’ s return to governance, ending weeks of speculation about the party’s role in the country’s political process.
Hon. Aminata Sesay’s statement was exemplified by the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah, who confirmed that the APC has returned to governance effective immediately, adding that the matter has now been laid to rest.
According to political analysts, the APC’s return to governance after weeks of non-participation marks a significant development in the country’s political landscape, signalling a renewed collaboration between the opposition APC and the government following months of tensions and uncertainty.
