It has been reliably confirmed that about seven (7) people perished on Tuesday 2nd June 2026, in a tragic road traffic accident at Bandajuma village on the outskirts of Bo City.
Bandajuma village is situated along the Bo-Kenema Highway, and according to eyewitness accounts, a fuel tanker travelling to Bo collided with a taxi coming from Bo, which was carrying about seven (7) people, including the driver, at the time of the crash.
Reports indicate that all seven people in the taxi tragically perished.
The bodies of the deceased were conveyed to the Bo Government Hospital Mortuary for further procedures and identification.
Meanwhile, the driver of the fuel tanker is reported missing, and his whereabouts remain unknown as authorities continue with their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident.
The reason for the collision has not yet been officially established, and the police are expected to provide further details as inquiries continue.
