The National Secretariat of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has issued a formal public notice announcing the conduct of rerun ward elections scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026.
According to the statement, details of the specific wards and designated polling centres where the rerun elections will take place will be officially republished on Thursday, 2nd April, 2026.
The Secretariat has called on all stakeholders, including aspirants, party officials, and members, to prepare accordingly and to conduct themselves in line with the APC Constitution 2022.
Reaffirming its commitment to a credible process, the APC emphasized that the rerun elections will be conducted in a free, fair, transparent, and orderly manner, under the supervision of relevant party structures and in compliance with internal rules.
The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) and the Inspector General of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have been formally notified to provide the necessary support to ensure a peaceful electoral process.
