The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has officially commissioned the newly constructed Jendema Border Crossing Post as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen border management, trade facilitation, and revenue administration.
The ceremony brought together officials from the NRA Board and Management, traditional and community leaders, representatives of the Liberia Customs Authority, and other key stakeholders, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation and effective border governance.

In his welcome statement, the Chiefdom Speaker of Sorogbema Chiefdom A. J. Zoker, applauded the NRA for such an incredible initiative and described the facility as a major development for both revenue growth and improved service delivery.
Speaking during the event, the Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Tennyson Bio, emphasized that border security, trade facilitation, and revenue mobilization are equally critical to national development and effective customs administration. He noted that the facility will enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and facilitate legitimate cross-border trade.

Chairman of the NRA Board, Mr. Kabineh M. Kallon, described the commissioning as a demonstration of the Authority’s commitment to modernization, institutional excellence, and improved stakeholder service delivery.
The newly commissioned Jendema Border Crossing Post is expected to strengthen customs operations, improve border security, and promote seamless and lawful trade within the sub-region.
