It emerged at the weekend that the National Adcisoey Committee (NAC) of the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) has finally decided on when the National Delegates Conference will be conducted.
According to inside sources, the National Delegates Conference, where the national executive officials and the standard-bearer for the 2028 polls will be elected by delegates.
Though the venue for the National Delegates Conference is Port Loko City, the exact dates for the convention have not yet been slated, according to inside sources, adding that the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) that recently extended the lifespan of NAC to six months has approved of the APC National Delegates Conference for August.
According to an insider, there are some issues with the concluded lower-level elections that have to be addressed before the dates for the convention would be announced.
Meanwhile, the number of flagbearer aspirants is reported growing despite attempts by some aspirants to merge as very formidable forces.
