The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) today Thursday, 9th April 2026, hosted its annual media cocktail at the Freetown International Conference Centre in Aberdeen, Freetown.
The event reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the media.The gathering brought together journalists from various media houses, alongside the Minister of Labour and Social Security, senior management and staff of NASSIT, as well as other key government dignitaries.
It also highlighted the pivotal role of the media in raising public awareness about NASSIT’s mandate, including its ongoing programmes and achievements.
Addressing the attendees, NASSIT Director General, Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, emphasized the need for deeper engagement with the media beyond the placement of advertisements.He noted that the media remains a critical partner in effectively communicating the Trust’s work to the public.
The Director General Daboh further expressed NASSIT’s. commitment to sustaining and strengthening the collaboration with the media.
