VP JULDEH JALLOH URGES JUDICIARY TO BE CREDIBLE
Sierra Leone’s Honourable Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has emphasised that the credibility of the Judiciary remains the fundamental foundation for ensuring peace, democratic governance and regional economic prosperity.

Vice President Juldeh Jalloh made the remarks while officially declaring the ECOWAS Judicial Council Statutory Meeting open in Freetown on 23rd April 2026. The two-day meeting, which was organized by the Directorate of Legal Affairs of the ECOWAS Commission, was focused on strengthening justice, human rights and the rule of law in the West African region.
The Judicial Council of ECOWAS is the highest-level judicial body of ECOWAS. It consists of the Presidents of the Supreme Courts of the Member States or their representatives.
The Council is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, independence and integrity of the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice, including issues relating to the appointment, discipline and general administration of its judges
