The Director General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust, Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, on Thursday, 26th March 2026, paid an operational visit to the Grafton Spring Water Company at Grafton.
In his statement, Mr Daboh expressed gratitude to the management, staff, and owners of the company for the magnificent investment in Sierra Leone and for the opportunity to visit their worksite.

He added that the visit was part of his ongoing commitment to interact directly with members to understand their operational issues and concerns and to strengthen the partnership between NASSIT and its key stakeholders.
The Director General described the Scheme as not merely a collector of contributions, but also as a guardian of employees’ livelihoods, dignity, and future.

He further reminded the company that NASSIT is a statutory public Trust charged with the responsibility to provide income replacement for all employees in the country, in the forms of old age, invalidity and survivor’s benefits by ensuring that every worker in Sierra Leone retires with dignity.
The Director General acknowledged the critical role that water plays in people’s lives and national development and congratulated Grafton Spring Water Company for consistently meeting its obligations under the NASSIT Act, emphasising that compliance is not optional but a statutory obligation.
“The law requires that all employers should register their employees and pay their contributions not later than the 15th day of the ensuing month, ” he stated, while assuring them of his administration’s commitment to making operations easier and more accessible. “I want to bring NASSIT to your doorstep, reduce the time and resources you spend travelling to our offices”, he declared.
On his part, the Human Resource Manager and Head of Communication of the Grafton Spring Water Company; Patrick Banya expressed his gratitude to the Director General and his team for the visit, stating that their presence was not just a regulatory function but a welcome gesture of partnership.
“Your visit reinforces your organisation’s commitment to the value of effective service delivery and has addressed our employees’ concerns about the contributions we deduct from them. This demonstrates your shared commitment to ensuring that we progress in full alignment with the standards that protect and support our workforce,” he said.
He assured NASSIT that his management would strictly adhere to its obligations and is eager to adopt the improvements discussed during this visit.

The meeting culminated in a public education session, the issuance of biometric Social Security cards, and a tour of the facility by the Director General and the company’s management team.
NASSIT, we care!
